KVC Health Systems formally announced plans Wednesday for a new mental wellness campus to be built in Olathe. The effort gained a boost with a grant from Kansas. KVC said it formed a joint venture with a yet-to-be-named partner to build a 72-bed inpatient mental health facility, according to a release. The project will include three separate 24-bed units, with a total of 48 pediatric beds and 12 adult beds, along with six private courtyards, and dining and activity space. Plans call for the 72,700-square-foot facility to open in late 2024 southwest of 153rd Street and OMC Parkway.
